Set within the historic market town of Chepstow, the castle is an impressive monument that attracts thousands of visitors every year.
Chepstow Castle sits further down the River Wye, on the bank of the river itself. It’s imposing structure still stands complete in many parts. The castle is cared for by Cadw, the organisation responsible for many of Wales’ iconic monuments including our own Tintern Abbey.
Open daily, it welcomes visitors who want to explore and learn about it’s history. With parking adjacent, it is easily accessible. The Castle sits in the lower part of the town, a short walk away from the high street if you’re looking to pick up a souvenir from your trip.
